MICHELLE


Michelle is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar who completed a Bachelor of Science (Physiology & Neuroscience) and a Diploma in Psychology, followed by Honours, where her thesis explored cognitive restructuring for anxiety. She holds a Master of Clinical Psychology, with her Master's thesis investigating whether mindfulness meditation reduces depressive symptoms by improving emotion regulation, reactivity, and awareness.


Michelle's diverse experience includes working in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and private practice, where she has supported adults, young people, and families through various mental health challenges.


Michelle's therapeutic approach focuses on creating a secure and supportive environment, empowering patients to explore emotions and navigate life's struggles. She utilises evidence-based frameworks like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy, tailoring interventions to individual needs.

Collaborative client-centred care is central to Michelle's practice.


She approaches therapy with warmth, groundedness, and humour, ensuring clients feel heard and valued. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys staying active, pursuing healthy living, and is an avid fruit hunter, always on the lookout for seasonal picks. Her guiding philosophy is "Healthy mind, healthy body."
